Our lab is dedicated to research and teaching in Environmental Peace studies: that mutual interaction of human and environmental behaviour which establishes sustainability. Since the 1950s Hansell has been involved in environmental studies, the concept of system stability and the evolution of complex systems. With his students and collaborators he has published on cultural evolution, subjectivity in classification, behavioural evolution, Game Theory in evolution, toxicology of pesticides, community structure, climate change at the Canadian treeline and preparing Human Habitations for climate change. With Professor Biswajit (Bob) Ganguly, Visiting Scientist/Professor and Inventor he founded the Journal of Environmental Peace, published by International Innovation Projects (IIP) from the library of University of Toronto. Journal of Environmental Peace is an International Scholarly on-line Journal with distinguished scholars on the Editorial Board including Nobel Prize winners. http://www.library.utoronto.ca/iip/home.htm
