Robert Reisz elected to the Royal Society of Canada
EEB Professor Robert Reisz, chair of U of T Mississauga's Department of Biology, has been named a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. Reisz's innovative work on various reptiles, fossilized embryos and the origin of turtles has been highly regarded, and he has published extensively with over 120 articles to his credit. He is the recipient of many prestigious awards, including the 2006 Alexander von Humboldt Research Prize, which recognizes continuous dedication to teaching and research. In 2007, Reisz was also inducted as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for his commitment to advance science and its applications.
