Prof. Dan Brooks has been elected a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London, the world's oldest extant biological society which remains a leading modern forum for debate and discussion of natural history in all its branches. It was at the December 1858 meeting of the Linnean Society that the joint papers of Alfred E. Wallace and Charles Darwin were read, initiating the Darwinian revolution.
