Aug 09 Understanding the nesting habits of turtles key to conservation efforts
 EEB undergrad student Elizabeth Francis, and colleagues in the Rollinson Lab published turtle research from their work at the Algonquin Wildlife Research Station in Algonquin Provincial Park. Their findings of a thermal trade-off between anthropogenic and natural nests explains one of the most pervasive threats to turtle populations globally: road mortality and roads as an ecological trap.
